Bethany Lancaster
Harpist

Bethany Lancaster is a performer, teacher, and collaborator based in the Piedmont Triad. She has dedicated herself to learning the harp so that she can help others experience its beauty, and to this end, she received her Masters of Music in Harp Performance at the University of Michigan. Known for her passionate and masterful performances, Bethany performs regularly as a soloist and ensemble member. She has premiered works by composers like David Amram and James Lee III. She has also collaborated on recording projects, such as Jon Guerra's Keeper of Days album. 
​Bethany feels most at home behind her harp, but when she is not playing or teaching, you can find her gardening with her husband or reading with her cat.

​Thank you Bethany!!​
My husband and I hired Bethany to play harp during our ceremony, and that was one of the best wedding decisions we made! We gave her a few songs we had thought of for her to play (one of which was completely new to her), and she worked with and practiced them to perfection. About a month before the wedding she met with us virtually to play through the pieces, and my husband and I were blown away by how beautifully she played them. Having such a gorgeous instrument played by such a talented harpist helped make our wedding day unforgettably special! Working with Bethany was one of the most enjoyable and least stressful parts of our wedding planning process!

Bethany played a lovely ensemble at our small wedding and it was beautiful.

Highly Suggest!!
We had originally hired another harpist for our wedding, but when she was unable to do the event, Bethany stepped in for her and I'm so glad she was able to play for us on our special day! The music was so beautiful and was exactly what I wanted! The guests commented on her playing throughout the day and about how a harpist was a beautiful touch to our wedding. She was very professional and kind. I highly suggest Bethany for your event!

Awesome Teacher
My daughter really enjoyed learning harp with her. She is patient and could always give challenge to her. We are doing virtual but she still could correct my daughter ‘s position.
